Dear Student,
You are heartily welcome to the International School of Theology (IST). As Christians, we need to have a thorough knowledge of the actual content of the Bible. The Scriptures are constitutive for any Christian community and ministry. As a reputable institution of higher theological education, IST wants to build on this foundation.
Whatever is your calling or area of ministry, everything starts from the overall vision of God and His will for the world. The goal of IST is to empower its students for reflective Christian life and transformative leadership through Bible and theological education. IST’s program contains an extensive body of Biblical studies and a thorough curriculum of theology.
At IST, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to live more intentionally, thoughtfully and faithfully in the world. Our goal is to help our students through theological education engage their cultures and contexts as thoughtful Christians, effective and purpose – driven leaders.
The IST program is literature based, and has no residency requirements. All courses are undertaken by students through the Distance Learning Method (DLM). As students carefully study the resources of their enrolled courses, they will gain an extensive view of the most advanced contemporary scholarship in biblical studies and theology.
IST offers various courses (up to doctorate degree level), to prepare men and women for effective leadership and service in every area of human endeavour.
